Blinding gig!

Los Campesinos! always impress. A long set with a fab balance between the newer tracks from Sick Scenes & older favourites. Energy, wit, intelligence. Love them!

Los Campesinos!, O2 Academy Sheffield, Sheffield - 29th April 2017

Nice to see you again.

Both artists played good long setlists. Encore with LC!'s most famous song. Both artists had good patter with the audience - making jokes, encouraging dancing, making everyone safe. I had a good time and I felt as though I'd gotten my money's worth.

Los Campesinos!, O2 Academy Sheffield, Sheffield - 29th April 2017

Los Campesinos! is a British indie rock band formed in Cardiff, Wales, in 2006. Known for their energetic and emotionally charged sound, the band blends elements of indie pop, punk, and post-rock, creating music that's both infectious and introspective. Los Campesinos! are recognised for their witty, often bittersweet lyrics that explore themes like love, loss, youth, and the complexities of modern life.

Their debut album, Hold on Now, Youngster... (2008), received critical acclaim for its raw energy and unique sound, driven by jangly guitars, urgent vocals, and intricate arrangements. Follow-up albums like Romance Is Boring (2010) and No Blues (2013) cemented their place in the indie scene with more mature, layered songwriting while maintaining their signature emotional intensity.

The band is also known for their strong DIY ethos and vibrant live performances, which have earned them a loyal fan base. Over the years, Los Campesinos! have become a beloved act within indie music, blending exuberant melodies with sharp, often poetic lyricism, creating a unique voice that resonates with fans of emotionally charged indie rock.
