Lloyd Cole Nottingham

In spite of feeling "under the weather" Lloyd delivered a masterful performance of the back catalogue from Commotions days, plus all the new stuff. Highlights : "Are You Ready To Be Heartbroken", "Rattlesnakes", "No Blue Skies", "Forest Fire".

Lloyd Cole, The Albert Hall, Nottingham - 29th October 2023

Wonderful night

Lloyd Cole's concert exceeded our expectations by far. We know the venue is extraordinary but the sound was also excellent. Having expected a stripped out solo acoustic/keyboard-led first half, we were treated to full band playing songs from the entire length of his career over the two. The musicians (two Commotions Neil and Blair and the wonderful drummer/percussionist Signy Jakobsdottir) played with spirit but also nuance and the songs had a distinctive live sound. We also enjoyed the pre-concert dinner in the bar which although quite pricey, was really tasty and all were satisfied. I believe the money raised goes to a good cause so worth supporting.

Lloyd Cole, Union Chapel, London - 21st October 2023

Ipswich

An amazing 2 hour performance by LC. Love the original members of group and lady on drums. Guitar, keyboard and singing brilliant. Lyrics are always exceptional. Always looking forward to a new album every year or two. Been at LC gigs since 1986 at Milton Keynes Bowl as a student. I would highly recommend to anyone who likes LC, a good melody, depth and character in music.

Lloyd Cole, Corn Exchange, Ipswich - 25th October 2023

Unforgettable night out.

The perfect combination of Union Chapel and Llyod Cole made this night so special. Llyod and his band were brilliant and played a wide range of his old and new songs, some familiar, some not over two sets. I love Union Chapel as a venue. It's not too big, and the acoustics are excellent providing the sounds are not too loud, it wasn't. All in all, everything made for a memorable concert. Thanks, Lloyd and Union Chapel.

Lloyd Cole, Union Chapel, London - 20th October 2023

Taking an intelligent approach to indie rock singer/songwriter Lloyd Cole was elevated to cult status as lead vocalist of Glaswegian based band The Commotions. After striking out as a solo artists; Cole went from strength to strength, releasing thirteen critically acclaimed studio albums including latest LP On Pain.
